They're surnames and should be kept as such.

Corwin is cute! I like how dorky it sounds.Russell is very gently masculine, which is a rare combination.

Corwin is cool. It would be the perfect name for a prince in a fantasy story. It has the same sort of soul as "Caspian". Russell is fun because it makes me think of potatoes and cowboys (rustlin' up some grub). Growing up I knew two brothers named Russel and Wesley who always did everything together and roamed the neighborhood as a package deal, Russ & Wes. They seemed like nice boys, so I have a good impression of Russell from that.

Corwin is the name of a prince in a fantasy series by Roger Zelazny.

He chose well!

Corwin doesn't convince me. Russell does, but I'd much prefer Ross.

Russell too dated
Corwin is ok, prefer Corbin

I like them, I think they sound quite natural together

Having read Zelazny, Corwin is very tied to his character, don't dislike it, but can't divorce it from that. Russell is okay but a bit elderly.

Corwin is too much of a surname to me. I would prefer Corbin or even Corvin.Russell is fine. Just boring to me.

I'm not a fan of Russell. Ross for a first name is better IMO. Corwin seems unique and interesting but I usually don't like "rw" names (Irwin, Darwin).
