I am tone-deaf. When I sing, I am told that I make Bob Dylan sound like Freddie Mercury. If my name had been Melody, it would have been unsuitable and even cruel! I don't enjoy word names as a rule anyway, but this is one of the worst. Plus, I once taught a child named Melody who was very pretty, polite, dishonest, a liar and a cheat. This shouldn't affect my opinion, and I don't think it does, but it certainly adds another layer of meaning.
