[Opinions] Re: Can you imagine a child being named Disney?

You know im sick of the phrase “Disney Adults” what is so damn harmful about an adult loving Disney? What are we supposed to get rid and disregard everything we loved as a child just because we are a So-called adult. That's like saying we supposed to give up deserts because we're adults now!!!!

I was raised an hour away from Disneyland and watching Disney movies. I love it, and some of my fondest memories were from Disney. I think we carry part of our childhoods with us, but we don't let them rule over us. I am an adult who loves Disney, not a "Disney adult."
You can hate the term all you want, but I think they gave themselves that name. I'd never heard it until I met people who made sure I knew they were Disney Adults. It's weird.
yes ...
You know, back when we were kids, one of the things we were taught to beware of in terms of potential predators was adults who seem overly interested in things geared for kids. Like Disney movies, to name just one. Of course this does not mean that every adult who loves Disney movies (or Barbies or My Little Pony or whatever) is some kind of pervert on the make, but ... the lines are so blurred now that it's getting very hard to know, if you're a kid, what you should actually be made uncomfortable by short of actual physical pain or threats.

It is adult who like Disney. Makes sense to me.
It's just thing you like + what you are. Like "TikTok kid". Or "cat person".

I only ever heard people use “Disney Adults” in a negative way like we're supposed to be ashamed of loving and admiring Disney.
I have a degree in animation. I love animation and I love many creations of Disney.
However, Disney as a person AND corporation is not anything to admire.
At least, not wholly and without a healthy amount of criticism. A very healthy amount.
Disney as a person and Disney as a corporation have done some insanely questionable to even morally wrong things.
There is nothing wrong with liking the end product, but it's worth looking into the other names attached to a product, also. There are whole teams of artists behind the veil.

Amen to the above.
