[Opinions] 3 more name encounters
Avan (b) - This was the name of my cashier at the grocery store today. I like how the name looks but it sounds very similar to oven.
Gentry (g) - Saw this name on a list of graduating high school seniors this weekend.
Once (Quince?) (g) - I told my friend about the little boy I met named Four and she told me that she raced a girl named Once at a recent track meet. She said it wasn't a nickname because it's what the meet officials called her, but I wouldn't be too surprised if she'd misheard. If she had misheard, I assume the girl's name was actually Quince as I think it sounds the most similar. There's also the possibility that the officials were reading it wrong and it was supposed to be said as like on-say. Idk thoughWhat do y'all think?

Does Gentry have siblings named Royalty, Nobility, and Peasantry? I think many parents who choose the name don't think of the literal meaning of the word.
Right on.
Gentry is the only one I like. The other two give me secondhand cringe.
I'd like Avante. Avan seems boring in comparison, although the meanings aren't bad.I think Gentry is awful because I hear negative gentry/gentrification connotations, but it fits the surname trend. Noble seems better because at least that means something about character and not just status.Once would be really interesting, if she didn't mishear, though I don't have much of an opinion on it because I can't guess why it'd be chosen. It doesn't sound like Quince to me. Wan or something similar maybe?

Not a fan of any.
I like Gentry, I know someone with that last name and it seems like a manly name, so I wouldn't like it for a girl. Once is a terrible choice for a name. Avan is just OK.
Not fond of any, but Gentry is the best one. I preferred it on boys when I thought that the G was pronounced like a G.
