That's interesting because I heard that Russian is more commonly spoken in Kazakhstan than their state language, especially among young people. I wonder why that is.~☆April Song Recommendation☆~

Maybe you heard that long time ago? Possibly true in 90s or 2000s but now young people speak more Kazakh. Though many also speak Russian. It was because Soviet influence, older people knew native language and probably Russian, younger people knew language, that USSR forced on them. But even if all Kazakhs only spoke in Russian, not Kazakhs nor Kazakh language are Slavic.
