Maybe it's because Sabrina is one of my favorite names, but I really enjoy Noyabrina. I also like:
Renat
Dzhonrid
Avangard (this made me smile)
&
Lenara (I know it's lyeh-NAR-ah, with a "liquid" E, but I think just pronouncing it lehNAHR-ə would make the origin less obvious, and it could be more "usable" in several places)
Maya (though I don't think of this as Soviet at all)
Reva (though I don't think of this as Soviet)
Zarya & Zorya (honestly, these could get by as well today)
Neya
Ninel
Dazmira
Izaida
Vemira
Vilora
Vladilen
Ideya
Kima
Elmira (thogugh I prefer Almira, which is Bosnian)
While it's not to my liking, I think Danton could be much subtler and perfectly usable today outside of Eastern Europe. Same with Donara.
Kaleria is a character in Max Gorky's Summerfolk, so the name reads to me as being early 19th Century nouveau riche, Russia-style (so, from the Empire). I would never have made a Soviet connection with Kaleriya without this post, as they are both VERY different images!
Nonna is Italian for grandmother, lol, so that's all I could think. :-P
