I find the name both visually and aurally unattractive, is the short of why I dislike Oona. I don't understand why people like it any more than you understand why I don't--it's one of those feelings, if you know what I mean. :)
That said, I'd rather you express your Irish roots with Oona than with, say Braenagh or Kelleigh; it'd be refreshing to meet a little Oona, and it might improve my image of the name.
Oona Violet Marie has a nice flow.
