Like it only as a nn for Mercedes. It's too much of a word to me as a full name.

I like it very much, and I have a good personal association with it--I went to nursing school with a girl from Nigeria named Mercy (mn Fatima) and she was super smart and very sweet. A lot of older patients liked to call her "Nursie Mercy". :b
