I love it! I think it's gorgeous and not too used!

Love it - it's my SIL's name though so I wouldn't use it. it's getting quite popular here.

I love it, but only this spelling. It is a beautiful name and it is the name of my deceased half-sister.

I really like it, but it would be butchered hideously in the US. I'd keep it in the middle unless you're in Ireland.

I like it, but I think it's getting to the stage of being too popular now, so it's becoming a little bit 'blah.' I'm starting to prefer Eve, because it has a similar sound, but seems fresher to me.

I adore it. If I had a little girl tomorrow she'd be Niamh. It's so utterly elegant and beautiful, simple but strong.

Dislike it...If I hadn't looked it up, I would have no idea how to pronounce it.

I like it, and spelled this way rather than Neve / Neev. It would probably get mispronounced a lot though.

I agree with everything you just said! There would be pronunciation problems, but don't you think eventually as it becomes more popular, people would just learn the pronunciation? Like the name "Sean", it's very rare for this name to be mispronounced, and eventually the pronunciation would just be known. I'm not sure this makes sense but hopefully you understand what I mean!!!

I get what you mean, but one of my friends said Sean as "seen" for fifteen years before anyone corrected her : /
You can blame Sean Bean for that though, it confused her that the names had the same ending but different pronunciations!

LOL, my sister did that too

Lol, thats quite funny! I was thinking about Sean Bean as I wrote it! It's quite an unfortunate name...

My dad always says 'seen' bean, but he knows it's really 'shaun,' he just does it to be irritating. (and it works, it drives me insane! :) )

Well indeed. That's what it reminds me of, though.
