Andy
I really like the nn Andy for both boys and girls. However, I hate how popular Andrew and Andrea are. Are there other names that would work with a nn Andy?

I don't think the formal name decision should revolve around a nickname, since the nickname may never be used, and then you've just settled on a formal name. I think nicknames should be left up to the child, and not planned by the parent(s). I'd scrap the whole idea. I don't think Andrew or Andrea are at all popular. I do like Andrew.

Andrew ranked 6th in the US for boys last year

Yes, but I hardly see it in local birth announcements or even on this board too often. It doesn't mean the name is popular in the area where one lives. :::shrugs:::

Oh, well, it's one of my favorites, but I know tons of Andy's, Drew's, and Andrews of all ages.I still love it though.

Tons? Wow. I only know four, ages 12-years-old, two in their 20s, and one in his 50s. Well, maybe that's a "ton" to some people, but not me. :)

There were at least 6 in my graduating class of 150. That doesn't count Andrew's I've met since college, or in grade school. I consider it well-used. But it's lovely, so I understand why.
