WDYT of Elissa?
I had a girlfriend who passed away years ago whose name was Melissa, but I don't care for that name bc of the nn Missy. So if I dropped the M I get Elissa which I think is pretty. Elissa Mary (for my mom who also passed away)
Elissa Mae
Elissa Hope

I like Elissa is nice. I like Alissa too, but not Alyssa, which rubs me the wrong way for some reason. I'm not sure if you could say it honours a Melissa - I suppose if you see it that way, it does. I'm not into honouring so it's neither here nor there for me. I like Elissa in its own right. From the middle names I like Elissa Hope the best.

I prefer Elise or Alyssa, but if its honouring someone then its nice.

Elissa is pretty and it's not just a form of Melissa or Alyssa. It has its own origin (unknown, yes, but its own).

I don't like Alyssa, and this is just an alternate spelling, imo. But since it would honor your friend, I like it a tiny bit more. All 3 combos are very pretty. Another idea is to use a different fn and use Melissa as a mn.

I think it's cute. Elissa Mae is my favorite of the ones you have listed.

Elissa is pretty, but I like Alyssa better.

I think the name Elissa is very cute for a girl. I actually prefer Elissa over Alyssa. Elissa Mary is a good combo. To add to your combos, Elissa Marie is pretty, too.
