I don't even see where you could get that from in the letters.

I don't like that prounciation at all. That is not how Chloe is pronounced. It should have been spelled differently if to be pronounced that way. Possibly Shiloh, Shilo, Shalo or Shalow.

I've heard it pronounced like Shiloh. Also, when I was younger (about 7 or 8) I saw the name Chloe in a book (the author had written a note to her daughter, Chloe) I had no idea that it actually said Chloe, I thought it said ch-low. LOL. I had a cabbage patch doll named Chloe but didn't know it was spelt like that. When I saw the name in the book I though 'why would someone name their daughter ch-low'. I am so dumb.

*Tips head, raises eyebrow*I... could see it if it were CHAH-lo, the Mommeigh taking the Ch- and just extending/slurring/whatever the CH-as-in-"chair" pronunciation into CHAH, then combining it with a phonetic -loe LO...But SHAH? I have nothin'.Poor lady!

To tell the truththe first time I read the name (in a story, I'd never actually heard the name)that's how I thought it would be pronounced.

*Goes cross-eyed*How on earth do you get SHAH out of 'chl'? Now if it was Chaloe, I could understand it (Well, only the pronunciation!).

Ridiculous!Absolutely unnecessary, and not a favor to her daughter, either. Hadn't she heard of the name Shiloh?

Way to confuse everyone : /I like it even less than I like the normal version.

Hmm. Well, I wouldn't suggest it to someone else, but hey, if she likes it, rock on.
