Aurelia???
I am loving this name lately. I have a few questions though.
1. What is your overall impression of the name?
2. How would you pronounce it?
3. Do you think it makes a good sibset with Scarlett?

1. I love the name Aurelia. I think it has a lovely meaning, sounds beautiful and very feminine, its not very common but not too unusual either.2. I pronounce it Awr-eh-LIA with the emphasis on the last two syllables. I pronounce it this way because I like the nn Lia and I think it sounds prettier this way.3. Aurelia makes a great sibling name for Scarlett. Both names are on my list and I think they sound lovely together.

I think it's lovely. I'd love to meet an Aurelia2. How would you pronounce it?
a-RELL-ee-a3. Do you think it makes a good sibset with Scarlett?
I don't really like Scarlett. I think the names are okay together, but nothing gorgeous as a sibset.

1. I think it's quite pretty, but then, it is my mother's name, so it's grown on me in time. She hates it, though, because people always misspell and misprn it.
2. ah-rehl-ya or ah-rill-ya
3. I like Scarlett, but I prefer Aurelia. I think they're fine together.

1. What is your overall impression of the name? I think it's over the top and a bit of a drama queen type name.
2. How would you pronounce it? Or-ray-leah
3. Do you think it makes a good sibset with Scarlett? Nope. Scarlett has a old world charm to it. Aurelia just doesn't fit that.

1. I think it's uncommon and attractive, a nice name for someone else's daughter...who will probably face a lot of "areola" teasing in the future.
2. aw-REL-yah or aw-RAIL-yah
3. Not awful, but not great. Sounds more like Scarlett's distant ancestor than sibling.

I've actually created a [possible future] sibset with those two names. I'd call Aurelia Aurelie (aw-RAY-lee) and Scarlett "Letty. I think Relie (Raylee) and Letty go cut together. It's all in the packaging. Lol.

The best way I know how is a-ree-lia, but the website says ow-REL-yah

I adore the name Aurelia. I pronounce it "o-RAY-lia," but I can see the "o-REE-lia" pronunciation too. I hate the name Scarlett, so no I wouldn't like it paired with Scarlett. To me that would be like mixing champagne and pork rinds.

Or maybe justlike mixing cornbread & caviar. I mean, to be fair, Scarlett's a decent name, even if it isn't caviar. ;o) I personally wouldn't put it into the "pork rind" category...although that was quite the epicurean allusion, there. It had me wincing! :o)

Scarlett is my daughter's name and I certainly don't think of the name as 'pork rinds' but everyone is entitled to their own opinion- thanks for you input.
