Elisa
I've always loved Elise, but I just came across Elisa. As my middle name is Elizabeth (which I use professionally) I'm not sure if I'd use it - I somewhat balk at naming children after living relatives. (The only exception would be my dad, merely because he shares the name with his father)

I think it's really pretty. Of course, Elsa is tops on my list right now, and it's so similar. We had originally considered Eliza too.
My husband also suggested Alisa. All very pretty choices imo. I prefer the 'lisa to the 'liza sound. It seems sweeter, and less harsh.

How are you pronouncing it?

For that pronunciation, I'd prefer Aliza. When I see Elisa I want to say it with a soft "ss" sound, and I reckon many people would. But maybe people would try and say Aliza like Eliza. That's a toughie. It's very pretty, anyway.
