Stella or Niamh?
Which name is better? I like both so much, but I can't choose which one.

Stella, hands downI just like the look and sound of Stella so much more than Niamh. I think Stella's a gorgeous name - so classy and feminine.

NiamhStella is an ugly name to me. Don't know why. Even though I have a friend with that name. Also, it reminds me of "Stelllllaaaaaa!" a la Seinfeld (but from A Streetcar Named Desire).

Niamh! But both are nice.

NiamhI love Niamh! I love the way it sounds and looks, even though people might be confused by the spelling. Something like Niamh Alexandra would be very elegant

NiamhI've said it before. I'll say it again. If I had a dd tomorrow her name would be Niamh. The only drawback is the user-unfriendly spelling, of course. But the sound is undeniably gorgeous -- elegant and confident.I would advise a more conventional mn if you do use it. And I hope you do. :-)

Stella or even better Estella.

Just because of the potential pronunciation issues with Niamh. The name's pretty mainstream now, but I can imagine how frustruating it is when *another* supply teacher calls you "Nee-am" because they hadn't encountered the name or they weren't familiar with the Irish pronunciations. Plus, Stella's gorgeous.
