1. What names are you thinking of most today?
Old fashioned names more commonly seen in 19th century America... like Ellery, Elliard, Rosella, Sofronia, etc... for use in a story :-)
2. Do you think its ok to have themed middle names in a sibset if you like all the names?
Of course it's all right!
3. Do you think its ok to name a child after a book/movie character if its not REALLY obvious, and you were passionate about the book/movie?
Definitely. I think it's okay to name your kid after a popular fictional character as well - if you really like that character that much and it's not someone like Cruella de Ville or Hannibal Lecter (think of the poor kid!)
4. Do you think in about 8 years time it'll be ok to call a boy Shiloh?
Personally, I think it's just fine now. Though I don't like Shiloh as a name in general, for a boy or girl.
5. How do you find most of the names you put on your list, or have you just come across them over the years?
Over the years, in books, movies, suggested by friends, seen on BTN on this board...
6. How long have you had a name list?
Oh gosh, since I began writing when I was about 6 o 7! Though I only began a real names list when I was about 13
7. Do you write fiction/film scripts etc?
Both, and lots :-)
8. Whats your least favourite name atm?
Malachi and Mackenzie
9. Whats the first combo that comes into your head right now? Quick!!!
Marion, probably because of the 'm' names above lol
10. Do you think pets should have pet names (e.g. Fluffy) or people names or do you not really care?
Not really care. I've personally had pets with both. Whatever you feel fits the pet ::shrugs::
11. Whats the oddest combo (in your opinion) that you've ever liked?
Hm, probably one of Sabrina Fair's... Evening something.
12. Do you go through phases with your names, or do you tend to stick with most of them?
I tend to stick with most of them and when one or two are phased out, the ones that replace them tend to be of a similar fashion.
13. If you're planning on having children, how many would you want?
I would, in a perfect world, have in this order: Son, Son, Daughter.
14. Is there one name you'd really like to use, but feel like you can't for some reason or other? If so, what name and why.
Hm, probably Evening. I think it's gorgeous but it's just a little too 'out there' for me. I have other similar favorites along that line: Cosima, Caspian, etc...
15. Do you like nature/word names or think they're a bit too weird and non-namey?
It depends on the name. Some are fine and nice imo, like River, but others just don't work imo, like Moss or Clover. Most flower names are sweet (though too saccharine for my tastes!).
