Margareta/ Greta
I really like the name Greta but hate Margaret. What do you think about Margareta? Is Margareta with the nn Greta too ethnic for the US and does it go with a brother named Adrian? Thanks for any responses.

I love Margareta with Greta as the nickname. I had an ancestor with named Margareta, so that is even my prefered form of the name. I thing Greta is usable in the US and I think it goes well with Adrian.

Aww, too bad, I love Margaret, and Margaret nn Greta is cute! I'm surprised you'd like Margareta if you dislike Margaret though. I don't think it's too ethnic. I don't think it goes super well with Adrian, but it doesn't clash either.

While I love Margaret nn Greta since it is my niece's name, I think Margareta works well too. I don't think it's too 'ethnic' to use in the US. It sounds like it could work well in several languages, including English, and the nn Greta makes it less of a mouthful to say every time. Also, I think it goes very nicely with Adrian.
