Dagmar
Any thoughts on the name? Too unusual for the US or possibly a name easily capable of integrating itself into a new age of naming trends?
Thanks! Also, any middle name ideas?

I didn't really care much for the name, but I know someone with it now, so I am biased. I think it's an interesting name, but I don't think it would become mainstream in the US.

I really like it as well as the similar Dagny. I think they both sound very strong yet somewhat quirky at the same time.

Capable of integrating- absolutely. Kids are very very open-minded about names, and it shouldn't be to hard for adults to catch up :P Slightly prefer Dagny over Dagmar.

I kind of like this name but it is harsh sounding and I would never name y kid it.

I think it's very unattractive and also (out-)dated where I live. It doesn't sound masculine to me, but that could be because I know quite a few Dagmars. They're all 50 and older, though. One of them also seriously tainted my view of the name, as she was batshit crazy and should not have been allowed to walk the Earth freely. D: I'm not sure how it would be received or pronounced in the US. Here it is pronouned DAHK-mah(r) or DAHG-mah(r).

I like Dagmar. Is it too unusual for the US? Hmm. It would be out there. And she might be confused for a boy. But I wouldn't say that its too unusual.

It's too masculine and unusual for the US. Have you considered Dagmara? It's much more feminine, though I'm not wild about the Dag- beginning.

It's very harsh sounding, imo. Not too unusual for the US, I don't think, but it wouldn't easily integrate itself, to use your word. For a mn, I think it would need something very feminine and soft to balance it.Dagmar Lily
