What personalities and appearances do you associate with these names? Which one do you prefer? Thanks.

I'm a bit biased, Lydia is my name and I love it. I see someone who's quiet, sensible, studious. Lila is an ok name although I do prefer Lilah. I see Lila as carefree, and easy going.

There's no particular reasoning behind this (that I know of), but I picture Lila to be more wild and free spirited and Lydia to be more studious and sensible. I imagine Lila to be brunette and Lydia to be auburn, and I think I prefer Lydia, just a little bit. :-D

I think they're both sweet names, a little old-fashioned, and Southern. I think of beautiful Southern Belles with perfect manners.

I love Lydia! I don't see a particular types of person with the name. Just smart and pretty, No age or ethnicity. Lila is pretty too. I see a carefree personality with this one. Again no age or ethnicity.

Lydia -is dated here, so I see a woman in her 50s, rude, brown hair (because that's what my neighbour Lidija is like)Lila -like it, for a woman in her 20-30s, nice, calm
