Noah for a girl?
I hate Noah for a girl. I think it's been brought on by Miley Cyrus' sister (Billy Ray Cyrus' daughter). WDYT??

Noa is a Māori term- meaning free from restriction.
Noah to me is BOY

Noa is a japanese female name so it works. Not Noah though

I like Noa for a girl...and Noah for a boy. In Croatia the spelling in the Bible is Noa (for the Arc guy) and this spelling is used for both sexes.

Definitely NO

I think Noa is for a girl, and Noah for a boy.

I think it could work......if you didn't have any traditional feelings for the biblical boy's name. Also, I thought Noah / Noa was a girl's name as well...I seem to recall being amused that the boy's name Noah meant "rest" while girl Noa meant "action" or something like that.

There's a biblical female Noah as well :).

Noah = boy, Noa = unisex.Firstly, I don't really like either Noah or Noa. But I do think that Noa lends itself to more gender-bending possibilities. Noah is very very masculine to me.

Noa and Noah are actually both unisex. There was a Noah in the bible (female). But I understand how Noah looks more masculine to you. I also prefer Noa on a girl. I like Noah for a girl as well, though.

I only like it for a boy.

I think it sounds rather nice and fresh on a girl, but I'd use Noa instead.

Definitely notI guess you could use it, but it's definitely a boy's name. Noa (no "h") would be the feminine form and I think that is okay, although I'm not particulary fond of it.

I prefer it for a boy.

I really don't like it for a girl. I know way back when it was considered a girls' name, but now I just picture a boy whenever I hear it, and the image won't change.I also don't like the link between this name and the Cyrus family.

maybe Noa, since it is a fairly popular Hebrew girl's name. but i wouldnt use the Noah spelling on a girl.

Noah is a girls namea woman in the bible was named Noah. There was of course also a man named Noah in the bible. So it's usable for both genders. If definitely hasn't been brought on by Miley Cyrus' sister. It has always been used as a girls name as well as a boys name. For girls it's often spelled Noa, but whether you spell it Noa or Noah is completely irrelevant as you translate it from Hebrew and a name is usually translated by the way it sounds. Noa and Noah sound the same.Noa is the number 1 girls name in Israel, by the way and used in several other countries. Personally I love Noah and Noa for girls.

I have a nephew named Noah so it's all boy to me. Noa is ok though for a girl.
