Dorothy and Charles
I've been starting to like these names quite a bit lately. How do you think they sound in a sibset?I'd use the nickname Charlie for Charles but I'm having difficulties with Dorothy. What can you think of as a nickname for Dorothy? Thanks!

I love Dorothy and hate Charles but the sibset is wonderful and classic. I like Dorothy nn Dottie and Charles nn Charlie!

I love Dorothy and like Charles alright. Despite being from Kansas and having to constantly listen to Wizard of Oz jokes, Dorothy as a name still appeals to me. It might help that it was my newspaper advisor's name in high school. I loved her, she was so awesome.Charles is a nice enough name, though I heavily associate it with a guy I went to high school with. He wasn't a bad guy by any means, but he definitely... made an impression, heh. But since that doesn't affect you, I think it's strong and distinguished enough to be a good name.As for nicknames for Dorothy, I know Dora is really obvious and has connections with Dora the Explorer, but I still think it's cute. Plus, Dora the Explorer is actually pretty awesome for a kids' cartoon. She's a pretty strong, confident female character. That's always a plus. :) You might be able to stretch Thea, too, if you wanted. Actually, I think just Doro is darling without being twee, so I'd personally go for that.

They would sound smashing in a sibset. :) As for a nickname for Dorothy, I've always been partial to Dolly, followed by Dottie.

Charlie is cute. My grandmother's name is Dorothy and she goes by Dot. Dottie and Dolly are other options.Charlie and Dot would be sweet.
