Caitlin
I think it's kind of pretty spelled that way. What do you think? How many Caitlins do you know and how do they spell it?I also kind of like Cateline. Cateline or Caitlin?I think Caitlin or Cateline would make great middle names. What do you think of August Caitlin / August Cateline or Augusta Caitlin / Augusta Cateline?

Caitlin has long been one of my favorite names-that spelling only. Just beautiful and soft to me. I didn't choose it for daughter though because of the popularity of Caitlin/Kaitlyn/Caityn, etc...and all the Katies.

I don't like aand it's soooooooo common. All kinds of spellings. But if I have to see it I prefer Caitlyn.

I love it no matter how common it is! :)

Eh, unfortunately I love Cateline. :( I would never use it because of how it's been overused and the spelling problems, though. The entry for Caitlin says Cateline is the Old French form, so it should be legit.Augusta Cateline is nice, I guess, though I don't think those two names fit together terribly well.

Oh so it's legit! Amazing :) I guess it's kuh-teh-LEEN or kuht-LEEN then...but I prefer it pronounced kah-teh-line. ahhh I will never use it, but it's pretty.

I actually think Caitlin (spelled this way only) is a good name, but I've known so many of them the past 10 years, it gets tired. This name needs to take a looong sabbatical.

How many do I know? 30,000.Seriously. This name is done for me. Done done done done done. I refuse to hear of another one. Here are the ones I know:Katelyn x 2
Kaitlyn x 2
Caitlin x 1
Kaitlin x 1
Katelynn x 1I also know a Kate, a Katie and a Kayte (pronounced Katie). All but one of those (Kayte) are from my class of 240 (which contains about 120 girls). It is the most boring name ever to me. I'm soooo sick of it. It's actually somewhat pretty, but I swear it seems like half of all girls are named Katelyn. Of your combos I would go with Augusta Caitlin, simply because August screams masculine to me.I think Cateline is confusing and would get a lot of mispronunciations, though it looks cleaner.

I like August Cateline I guess, I've never heard of Cateline as a name before. I have a friend Catalina though. I live in a very Irish (and Italian) area where Caitlins spelled every which way are in overabundance right next to Michael. So meh.

I guess I kind of made it up even though I'm sure someone thought of it before, I heard it on this board for the first time but don't remember who liked it.I sometimes pronounce it like Caitlin but now I like it pronounced KATE-line. I just think it looks so pretty, kind of like Catherine and Caitlin combined. So yeah, I really like Cateline as a middle name.

Ah really?I didn't pronounce it like that. I thought it was more Ka-teh-leen or Ka-teh-line, more like Catalina in a way. Kate-line I don't like at all.

Ohhhthanks! I actually really like Ka-teh-leen and Ka-teh-line. I think I'll say Ka-teh-line from now on. So pretty.

Cateline or Caitlin?
Caitlin. Cateline looks a bit awkward to me, I think because of the "E" on the end. What do you think of August Caitlin / August Cateline or Augusta Caitlin / Augusta Cateline?
I think August Caitlin works better than Augusta Caitlin, because both August and Caitlin are not the most feminine names to me so they work well together. Augusta is extremely feminine though, and having Caitlin in there seems unbalanced. Does that make sense?

I think Caitlin is pretty, but that's the only spelling I like. I'd never consider using it though.I've known several Caitlins, Katelyns, and one Katelynd.August is very masculine to me, so definitely no Caitlin with that. And I don't think it matches Augusta at all, although I do like Augusta. Augusta is sophisticated and calm, and Caitlin is young and lively.

I like it spelled Caitlin. I also like Kaitlyn, but that's probably because it's my name.
