Asa or Aja?
What are your thoughts on the names Asa and Aja (individually) for boys.If you HAD to choose between one of them, which would you choose?Which one goes best with these names, if at all (as either fn OR mn, you tell me!)Khalil
Shawn
Benjamin

Definitely Aja. I think it sounds best with Benjamin as this is nice and classic and evens out the unusual and not particularly masculine sounding first name. I also think having a long name and a short name works best.Aja Benjamin - i like it!Jo

I like Aja on a boy, a lot. Asa is just okay, it's not bad. I'd choose Aja. I like Aja Khalil and Aja Shawn a whole lot. Asa Benjamin works, though I like how Benjamin Aja / Aja Benjamin sounds too.

I like Asa a bit. I can't stand the look of Aja for a girl or guy, it doesn't look right at all to me. So I'd pick Asa, I could definitely live with it.

I love Asa Benjamin and Asa Khalil.

I prefer Asa, but mainly because I am not familiar with Aja. I think Asa Khalil would look nice together; a bit exotic, but pronounceable.

I've loved Asa for a boy for years. I love the sound of it, and the power it packs in a small space. You could use the nn Ace for Asa.I've never heard of Aja before. How is it pronounced? "Ah-yah," "AY-zhuh," other? It reminds me of Asia, which I'm used to seeing for girls. Asa Benjamin sounds great to me.

Ay-zhuh... it almost sounds like Asia, actually!

I'd say Asa is better. Most people won't know how to say Aja when they see it. They'd probably say a HA. Asa Shawn or Asa Benjamin sound alright to me.
