I really like it, but only with the spelling Iain. Ian looks unfinished to me.

I like Ian a lot. It's my dh's favorite male name so I've given much thought to combos.

It is my husband's name so I have to like it:) Seriously though, I do like it- short, direct, and no nonsense- it's heard of and familiar but there aren't a million of them- a keeper in my opinion.

I'm not nuts about it. I just don't like the way it sounds. Here in the U.S., it has had a certain panache, due to the fact that it has been far more popular in Britain than here, so it's seen as the quintessential British name. I used to work in telemarketing, and every single Ian that I called had a British accent. This may change as Ian becomes more popular here. Regardless, I'm not fond of it.

I like it, but I think it's way too common. It's not trendy, though, so that's good.

I really like it. I would use it if I could, but I can't because it's my uncle's name :(

I think of a football player. Probably because the two Ians I know are football players. The first one I knew was a sadistic brute, but the second was very friendly and extremely intelligent, and the latter associating sticks.

I like it. Ian's a strong name, common but not too, too popular. It's a nice way to honour a John that's an alternative to the popular Jack or the trendy Jackson or Johnson.
