Generally speaking, I don't like -een names. Mostly, I don't like spondees ... however, Katharine etc have become too hackneyed for use, and Kathleen is a fresher version ... So, I like it mildly but not enough to use.

I really like it! I've known a few of them. Very pretty name. I kind of was thinking recently that Keely could be a cute, contemporary nickname for Kathleen.

My grammie's name was Kathleen and they all called her Kay because her mother's name was Katherine and her child hood nn was Kelleen.

SO dated. And I hate the NN Kathy. Katherine/Katharine "Kate" is much better.
It always stands the test of time, unlike Kathleen.

I really like it, brisk and pretty.

I like it, more so as a middle name. My friend is Meaghan Kathleen and I like names like Meaghan, Molly, or Margaret as first names with it.
