Selig and Felix
What do you think of Selig and Felix as a twin set? How do you pronounce Selig?

I'm more used to Zelig, still pronounced ZEE lik rather than ZAY lik but with the Yiddish spelling. (I think! This is based on lots of elderly gentlemen when I was very young.)I don't enjoy the echoing E sound in the first syllables. And I have difficulty in thinking of a Felix saying anything other than "Meow".

Selig- SEE lig. It's a last name to me. Bud Selig was the owner and president of the Milwaukee Brewers, and is the Commissioner of Major League Baseball. I can't see it as a first name.

I loooove them. The problem is that I say them with almost exactly the same vowel sounds, and they both have that L in the middle. But they're really cool. I love Selig.

ZAY-lick.
H, I know it's not a German name, but Selig is also a German word, so that's where I get my pronunciation. If you then pronounce Felix the German way as well, they feel quite similar. As in too similar for twins. But if you pronounce it the English way they are not too close.

Sorry :) of Selig. I've seen 3 English pronunciations of it, and I don't know which is more common.

correct and I agree.

I find them oddly suited to one another. Selig hieghtens Felix's whimsy, which due to overexposure has been fading. I have no idea how to say Selig properly. I'd give it a stab as "SEE-lig".

Selig is intresting; I don't find it very attractive. I'm not familiar with the name I would pronounce SELL-ig. Is that right?Felix is charming and handsome. And it's intresting enough to be paired with Selig.

Sorry, this should be under OPI just can't get past the cat thing with Felix.
Selig is ok, but too 'wordy' for me. I pronounce it the German way - 'ZEH-leeg'.
