Ivy
What is your opinion of the name Ivy? It's really growing on me and I think it's adorable. Any opinions appreciated

There was an Ivy Catherine here recently and I agree, it's a nice name.

It's not my style, but it's okay. Do you think it could work as a NN for Ivana in addition to being a full name?

I like it, but I prefer Eve, nn Evie.

'Really growing' on you!Ha, that made me laugh. Get it? Ivy growing?? Yes, I'm that lame.I went to school with an Ivy, born mid-1980s. The name is a bit more popular now - she was definitely the only Ivy in the school but one couldn't expect that in some circles today. Ivy has attitude so I can see why it appeals. It's short and sweet and accessible. Definitely fits in with current floral fashions but is miles better than dowdy Daisy or overused Lily.

I think it is a fabulous name. =)

It's really cute as a name, but as a gardener I could never use it because it's a horrid, forest-choking weed. :P

I know one little girl named Ivy Dawn and the name is completely adorable on her. I think it's a lovely name that will age fairly well. It's not popular but it's also a name that most people have heard before. I love short and sweet names! :)

It's ok but not one of my favorites.

I love it! It's short, simple, naturey, cute, and elegant.

I used to like it more, but I still can appreciate it. The similar nickname of Evie is more my taste. It's still a cute name, I just don't care much for the way that it looks.

I love the plant (especially when it grows along a stone wall), but the sound reminds me too much of an I.V. you get at the hospital.

I think it's sweet. I really like the name Ivy. I also like the name Fern. I think Ivy and Fern would make a cute sister set. :)

It's beautiful. I once met a little girl named Ivy, which helped me like the name even more. She was 4 years old and had lovely red hair and a vibrant personality.

Ivy has always been black-haired and shy to me, but for some reason I have absolutely no trouble at all picturing an energetic red-haired little Ivy.
