Isolde, Iseult or Isotta?
The only love story I've ever really enjoyed was The Romance of Tristan and Iseult. I think I might name my daughter after its heroine, but I'm not sure which form I should use.Isolde? Iseult? Yseult? Or the Italian equivalent, Isotta? Any comments are appreciated!

Yseult is the most charming, but for accessibility's sake I'd go with Isolde.

I think Isolde for recognizability.

Isotta is pretty, but I prefer Isolde. I think it's the most familiar and has the prettiest sound.Iseult/Yseult has never appealed to me. It reminds me of gristle for some reason.

I like them all, and Isolda. But if I had to choose one of them, I'd pick Iseult / Yseult, because the others sound uncomfortably like 'is old' and 'is otter' in the UK.If I could choose any form I liked, I'd pick Esyllt.

I like Isolda too. Isolde is on my list. Yseult looks bizarre to me.

Isotta!I love Isotta. Isolda is also dear to me, but Isolde seems a bit tired. Iseult is pretty too.

Isolde... DA: Origins all the way!

Any of these - Isolde Iseult Yseult - though I think I like Iseult best. Isotta looks odd though I usually love Italian names.

I like Yseult the best, personally. But if I were to ever actually use it, I'd probably go with Isolde since it's the most recognizable. I don't like Isotta at all.

I like Iseult the best, but Isolde seems more appropriate for real life since it's more familiar. I don't like Isotta, though - it reminds me of "besotted".

That's hard! My least favorite is Isolde, I think. Isotta is gorgeous and so are Iseult and Yseult. I think at the moment I would pick Isotta.

I like Isolde best. I think Iseult looks too mythological and would be hard to spell and pronounce. Isolde is also more recognisable - I think it's really pretty!

Oh, I just love Isotta. I was thinking about this name just yesterday. It's beautiful. Isolde is my second choice.
