Ryan
Do you think Ryan could be a girl's name. In Beautiful Creatures, there's a little girl named Ryan. Would you ever name your child that?

I really don't like for girls. Ryan sounds very masculine to me. I prefer Rhian (REE-ən) for a girl. It sounds more feminine.

My niece is Ryan Michelle. She has never liked it much and plans to name a future dd a distinctly feminine name. No, it's not my thing -- especially when there are so many beautiful and strong feminine names from which to choose.

I knew a female Ryan...Personally, no, I wouldn't name a girl Ryan. I do know its quite popular here in the US though.A few years ago, I worked at a job during the summer and a coworker was a female Ryan. I don't remember the reasoning behind her parents thinking, but I do remember her liking it. She was quite feminine and girly but could also be just as tough as the boys. She thought the name fit her well.

I love Ryan on a boy so for me noooo please don't take Ryan further over to the girl's side

I've met one. It's been done before. I wouldn't be inclined to do it though. Can't we just leave boys' names w/ the boys for a change?

I would never use Ryan as a girls name, but I wouldn't be surprised if other people did because Ys seem to mean "feminine" nowadays. I think Ryanne would make more sense - it looks a bit more girly and would be pronouced a bit differently (by me anyway! ry-ANN rather than RY-un)

I wouldn't name any child Ryan, boy or girl. It was far too popular when it was popular, and now it's sunk out of sight. I can't imagine why, with a whole world of names to choose from, anyone would settle on Ryan for a girl, so no doubt I must "prefer" it on a boy!

I hate Ryan on a girl.
It's not feminine and it would cause a lot of confusion.
I don't see the appeal at all and i wouldn't put a child through that.I know a little girl named Tyler and she's super girly and I always think it's such a shame that she has a boy name.

I don't like it on a girl.Possibly as a middle name, if it was a family name, but otherwise, not.

No. I only like Ryan when it's on a boy. I have met a girl named Ryan (well, it was Ryanne but pronounced like Ryan) and I don't think it worked very well.
