I know four Layla/Laila's and they all prn their name as Lay-luh. I have never met anyone named Leela or Lila.

I pronounce the first two names LAY-luh, the middle two LEE-luh and the last two LYE-luh.I live in Texas but grew up in Illinois and Colorado.

After viewing the other responses, I was beginning to think I was the only person here who pronounced Lila that way. Oddly enough, we're on opposite sides of the world.

I pronounce Lila LEE-la as well. Mainly because it's a Sanskrit name and I feel it is the correct pronunciation but also because it sounds nicer and makes sense to me.
