Amber
Amber has really grown on me. I used to dislike it, but now I think it's really soft and warm. I hardly ever hear it and I'm surprised it was so common. Does it seem dated to you? Maybe it's because there aren't any alternate spellings that it seems less common than it should.

I love it. I've always loved it. I love the way it looks and sounds and I love the image it conjures up of the color amber and stone amber, an image which is, as you say, soft and warm.Unfortunately, popularity ruined this name for me. I didn't want to use a name that was as popular as Amber became. It doesn't really seemed dated to me personally, because I've never even known an Amber. According to the statistics, it would seem that it's not dated yet but is on its way there.

I've always liked it, even though I know it has a bit of a "stripper" vibe to some. Friends of ours want to use it should they have a daughter one day.

One of the dreaded I know how old some individual is by name names.

I think it's pretty. It does sound warm. I've only known two girls named Amber. One is eight years old and the other is twenty-seven. I don't think it's dated.
