Sage
What do you think of Sage? Boy or girl? Getting trendy? Have you met one?

I've met some Sage's. Something like two girls and a boy.I think it works great for both genders but I slightly prefer it for a girl since it reminds me of Paige.I like Spruce for a guy. It reminds me of Bruce.Sage (g) and Spruce (b) would make a cute nature themed sib or twin set. :)

I like it for both a boy and a girl. In fact, it's one of the only names I like equally for either gender. I don't think it's too popular or trendy, at least not in my area. I've met a girl Saige, but no others.

I've never met a Sage, though I feel like I'm reading it frequently in birth announcements. I think it can work for either gender (unusual for me) and I always "feel" it more as a virtue name than a botanical one, as it always makes me think "wisdom".

I like it for a boy, but not for a girl. I just think it sounds more masculine. I don't think it's trendy, the only time I've ever heard of it as or even being considered as a first name is on a little boy once maybe two years ago.

Girl!!
More accurately, "Sage-the-plant"= girl and "Sage-like-wise-man"= boy. When I hear "Sage" I think of the plant primarily, so that's why I like it on a girl.
I know two- one is an actual Sage and one is Sayge or Saige or something (the younger one).
I don't think it's getting trendy. I don't know very many. It still sounds like a pretty, offbeat and unusual plant name to me.
(Then again, I'm still a Willow fan even though I'm pretty sure that name has definitively crossed the 'trendy' line... meh.)

I don't really have an opinion on Sage, but I would say it's unisex. I had a male friend named Jonathan Sage.

I actually like the name a lot, for a girl. It's ok for a boy, but for a girl it sounds nicer. It's not at all trendy or popular here in Australia and I've never met anyone with the name. It's a name I'd consider using in the future actually as I like the 'wise sage' connection.

I think of a girl first, but I think it's fine for a boy as well. I like it for both genders.I haven't met anyone named Sage before. It seems slightly trendy, but not overly so.

I really don't like Sage. I never liked it, and a while ago, there was a family on TV who had children called Sage and Colt. They both looked really awkward that their parents had chosen those names and didn't suit them at all. Hilarity ensued. My mother couldn't stop giggling about how 'stupid' the names were, and my father didn't go on about it but basically thought Sage was gross and unfeminine.I would say it's popular, but it is trendy... if that makes sense.

I like Sage on both genders and think it's fair game for either (being a nature, word name). I do slightly prefer it on a boy, I think cause the sound is quite strong. But I ilk it for both. And I think of a wise sage first, before anything else, and thats a good association. It doesn't feel trendy to me, but I see ow it could to others. Definitely not popular though. I've never met or heard of one IRL.

Sage can go either way. I've never met one, and I don't like it as much as I used to. The shininess has worn off.

I like it for both genders, but I think I like it a little more for girls.
I've never met anyone named Sage, but tons of Saga's which is very popular here in Sweden.

Personally it's girl, because I just cannot see "flower or herb" names on boys. I have never met one and maybe it is getting a little more popular but I don't think it will be the next Lilly or anything like that.
