Leslie
HiI'm considering using the name Leslie and most likley Elisabeth will be the middle name. Do you think the name is nice and what are your reactions to the name?

Leslie's okay, I just don't like it when it's pronounced Lezlie. (I don't like it when people say Wezley for Wesley either, or Prezley for Presley.)Leslie Elizabeth is okay but it's an awful lot of l sounds.

I despise the name Leslie. It's terribly unfeminine. It's got that harsh Z in the middle. It has two syllables both starting with the same letter, which I tend not to like. It makes me think of lesbians. I have nothing against lesbians, but they're not what I want to think of when I hear a name.

Wrong spot, meant to be under OP.

I'd prefer Lesley Elizabeth, but either way the flow is fine and the vibe is pleasingly retro.

Leslie is one of those names where when I see it I have no idea which gender the person is, it seems to be equally common for both. I think it's nice for a girl. I don't really like it with Elisabeth though. The sounds in them are too similar.

Although I prefer Leslie on a boy because it's fresher and less expected, I can't deny the name's unaffected, girl-next-door charm.

I like it. There was a period when it was popular to spell it Lesli, which I think it's wise to avoid.

It's a name i dislike immensely. It's dated, bland and unisex. I have two nieces with this name Lesley and Lesleigh. Also, there's that association with leso/lesbian as a nn, which i'm sure my niece was nn'd at school.
