If these are the best, I'd hate to see the worst. They are mostly ridiculous or horrible and I'm glad that no more than 5 babies born last year were given these names. The only one I like is Eugenie---that deserves to be much more popular. Yves for a girl in particular stands out, as it's a French male name. What kind of idiot uses Yves for a girl instead of Eve?

I wonder if they named their girls after Yves Saint Laurent, the way some name their daughters Chanel?

Indeed. Thus best being in quotation marks. ;)There were several wrong-gender names listed. The more popular ones I assumed were clerical errors. Yves I put in there since I found it interesting that it was given to girls, being that it is pronounced the same as Eve.
