Re: The "best" of the bottom of the 2013 data
Some comments:Amadea - this is nice
Amandine - I know it means something like "made with almonds", but I still think it's cute. I also like Mandaline
Aurore - beautiful
Australia - meh
Cassiopeia - beautiful, but maybe not practical
Chardonnay - nice sound, but a bit tacky
Christmas - I actually like it
Ebba - this is common here
Exodus - jeez
Frederica - since this is almost my name, I'll have to say I like it ;)
Gem - wouldn't work here; in Swedish it means "paper clip" (but then it sounds more like "game"). Rather nice in English, though
Happy - ick, dog's name
Hyacinth - love it
Kale - you eat it
Kinneret - nice
Magenta - cute
Mariposa - sweet
Nouf - what?
Pennylane - guess the parents already had a John, a Paul, a George and a Ringo, then?
Porsche - tacky
Rosary - actually cute
Rye - bread
Seraphim - prefer Seraphina
Shulamit - like it
Sierraleone - a country that used to be plagued by an atrocious war
Snowy - as much as I love snow names, this is too much of a pet name
Tuba - I think this is Turkish, actually
Albino - poor kid
Ante - not too uncommon here; it's a form of Anders
Arryn - parents like GoT...
Chaplin - was he born with a moustache?
Danger - silly
Edge - parents like U2
Elmo - a Muppet
Furious - jeez
Gin - *hiccup* cheersch!
Heinz - I know it's a real name, but I still think of ketchup
Inigo - love it
Rambo - silly
Saviour - eh...
Thelonius - love it
Tripper - makes me think of narcotics
Vasiliy - love it
Yahweh - I think many people will find this...um...blasphemous
Does the sea exist
Because of our longing?

TubaYes, it is Turkish, apparently! It's in the database. I'm a little disappointed, here I thought they were each daughters of major tuba enthusiasts... haha

When I told Kevin about the 5 Tubas born, he asked me if it was a name from an Indian language; he said he's heard of a Bollywood star named Tuba. Apparently Turkish! It is a little disappointing, although knowing quite a few tuba enthusiasts, I can tell you that I don't think any of them would name their daughter after their instrument!
