Genetrix
Hi all,
As I was researching the Roman Temple of Venus Genetrix, I had the thought that this would be an interesting given name and wondered about opinions y'all might have.
Personally, I would never use it on a child, but it contains historical/mythological associations and popular name elements that might feel/sound/look pleasing to others. I'm interested to hear your responses!

Sounds like a mashup of "genitals" and "dominatrix". No, thanks.
Genetrix, tricks you can play with your genes.
Sounds like a VERY VERY old friend of Asterix and Obelix.
It looks like the name of an evil genetic engineering company, one that performs unethical experiments in a lab so secret most of their employees don't even know it is there.
It sounds like some kind of cereal marketed at elderly folks (probably with a very high fiber content). I don't think it would make a good name.
Not fond of it. Sounds more like a name for life insurance or something
Garett or Gerald would be significantly better

It reminds me of geriatrics... Not too fabulous, really.
I automatically think of the word 'genetics'. As a name it would make me think of a clone in a scifi themed book or movie.
Lol, my first thought was that Genetrix sounds like the name of a scifi device.
It sounds like a namebrand
Naming a child Genetrix is a bit premature, surely? Better suited to her mother! There must be several better ways of arriving at the nn Jenny.
