I actually quite like surnames and occupations as first names. Emerson, Mackenzie, Bailey, Reagan, Kennedy, Foster, Deacon, stuff like that. Especially on girls. If I had any worthwhile surnames in my own family, I'd use them. I also don't mind place names. I just get a bit bored of the ones you usually see. I enjoy a quirky place name. I'd like to meet a Holland. But such names do have some history (like did you know Florence Nightingale and her sister Parthenope were named after their birthplaces?), so maybe they don't count.I really like the name Chance.
