Which Jane combo to keep?
Which Jane combo below would you recommend I keep on my list? Why?
Jane Primrose Adele
Jane Alexandria Lilac - This is iffy for me. I love the combo but I also have a cousin named Alexandria.
Jane Magnolia Frances
Jane Ariadne Lark
Thanks!

You know, I like Jane Alexandria Lilac best! It's a pretty name pairing a common-ish, 'plain' and very sensible name with fun middle names, and that's great. Lilac is unusual, but somehow not as whimsical as a lot of flower names, and Alexandria feels historic.
I also like Jane Magnolia Frances. Frances is solid, like Jane, whilst Magnolia adds a touch of whimsy... at the same time, it's a very rare flower name.
As an Ariadne, I'm biased about Jane Ariadne Lark. I don't think Ariadne flows with either of the names, and there are far prettier names out there besides. Plus, with shows like Atlantis (which I hate, sorry) on the Beeb at the minute, it might be one of these names which might suddenly start climbing the charts, like Hermione, Benedict and so forth... basically, fueled by fandom. I'd hope not, but you never know. I'm not a fan of Lark and I think it makes the ending of the combo quite harsh.
Jane Primrose Adele... is my least fave. I think Primrose is faar to whimsical, far more so than Magnolia and leaps more so than Lilac (which has a sturdy sound and unusual ending and rarity on its side, whilst Primrose is far more girlish). It also has the taint of fandom. It's not ugly, but it's too sickly twee and girlish for my tastes. Adele... I just really don't like. I dislike most of the Ad- family of names, I just don't think they sound nice. But each to their own! Use it if -you- like it.

I've never seen the Atlantis series so I don't have that association when it comes to Ariadne but I can see your point. What it comes down to for me is that I like it's sound.
Primrose is very much tied to it's literary association but I think it's adorable and can't help but love it for a middle name. I have a thing for flower names.
Thank you for being so thorough!

Alexandra didn't even come to mind! I rather like it.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Jane Primrose Adele is beautiful
I think that visual will stick with me forever now. I can't shake it. I love it though, so no complaints.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Jane Magnolia Frances
This combination flows so well! I also love each name separately; I especially love Magnolia! The only combination from the list that I highly dislike is Jane Ariadne Lark; it totally holds no appeal to me!
