I gave my daughter my own mn, Anne, as a mn. My fn has a direct translation that I can't stand, and I wouldn't want to duplicate my own name exactly.
I know a Megan whose mother was Margaret. And I knew a Maria Elisabeth Helena who was known as Marelna and named her daughter Marelna after her own nn.
