I like Delta for a female far better than Lincoln. I like Lincoln, but I think I like it better for a male. I do like that both girls have the "Bell Shepard" part in common.

Delta is okay, very southern sounding. Its miles ahead of Lincoln.

I read this post yesterday, and just got back to it. Didn't realise until now that Lincoln is a girl. Eww.
And Delta. Well. It's not really suitable as a name, in my opinion. Lincoln and Delta sounds a bit mismatched as well. I don't like Dallas as a girls name, but I still think that would have been better with Lincoln.

I really like Delta Bell Shepard as a whole combo! It's got loads of personality. Lincoln Bell, less so. It's too "safe-edgy".

Is there something wrong with their brains?

oh my god.No, there's nothing wrong with their BRAINS. Likeseriously? Is there something wrong with yours? Because you really seem to not grasp that people have different TASTESand there is an enormous difference between not liking someone's taste in baby names and thinking there is actually something WRONG with them mentally. You understand that, right? That people are not broken, or as you charmingly said in another thread, "retarded", because they like something that you don't. Check yourself please.
(and no, "Is there something wrong with their brains" is not "your opinion", so don't even suggest it)

Naming a girl Lincoln isn't just "different taste", it borders on insanity.

I must be insane then, because I think there are far worse disservices than being named Lincoln. Certainly not my favorite, but it's not insane by any stretch of the meaning. Eccentric and unnecessary, maybe but hardly insane. I think going by Linnie is pretty cute actually.

How about Lincoln nn Connie?
Sign me up for the psych ward. :)

Oooh, that's actually pretty cute! Sign me up too because I'm kind of digging Lincoln for a girl!

I don't like Lincoln on a girl (or boy, for that matter), but can you explain how it borders on insanity?

This is going to get fun around here yet!

I like Delta and definitely feel she lucked out in the naming department when compared to her big sister, Lincoln. While Lincoln isn't bad for a little guy, it just doesn't seem to yield itself to feminine use as much as other surnames.

Yay, it's not a man name. Lincoln disappointed me and I thought Lincoln Bell reminded an awful lot of Liberty Bell.I liked the name Delta when I was a teenager, probably because of Delta Burke.
It's a brassy name IMO, like Stella or Ava is. But it's alright.
The juxtaposition with Bell seems a little too evocative of Louisiana but oh well. Bell makes a good surname mn.

I like Lincoln for a boy, but a girl? Nah. Delta is better, but it reminds me of Delta Burke. Nothing against her, but I personally wouldn't want to think of "Designing Women" every time I said my kid's name.

Delta is kinda cool. Lincoln, however, is not.

Lincoln is fugly on a girl.
Delta Bell sounds like a steamboat.

They seem like a nice couple, but I honestly don't like their naming style at all! I think Lincoln for a girl is horrible, it just sounds too rough to me and Delta just does nothing for me, not appealing at all.

Damnit. And just as I was beginning to really like Delta
