They're not unattractive names, however, I really don't care for nns on the birth certificate because I feel the names doesn't have as much integrity and they limit the bearer of the name. Having said that, I do think Cassie, Liesl and Penny are cute names. Still, I'd much rather see Cassandra, Elisabeth or Penelope on the birth certificate and a nn could always be used -- or not depending on the person. True, Poppy isn't a nn but it has that flighty, insubstantial quality and as a consequence, it prevents me from taking it as seriously as other names.
