David's parents are Ricky and Melissa "Lissy". I was saying in my head that I need an "r and l" name and in my head, it morphed to Ariel.

How about Micky? I actually think Roland Micky / Mickey has a really quaint, "huggable" sound :)

To answer your OP, I think Roland Solomon, and Roland Solomon Gilliland are both too 'n' AND 'l' heavy, but significance can outweigh, of that's something you value more.
