We are from China and now live in UK and just had a baby girl. We prefer a name which is good in both English and Chinese (same pronunciation, both good meaning etc). This seems to be extremely hard though. And we decide it's better to have a Chinese name which also can be easily pronounced in English and also sounds good and no bad/funny meaning.
Here is a list we have and some comments:
茗 (Ming): means fine tea in Chinese.
岚 (Lan): means mist in hills in Chinese.
or 兰 (Lan): means orchid.
