Laurie, I don't like it unless it is short for something. This is probably due to it being entirely feminine for me.Lachlan I like, I'm not a fan of the Lochlan spelling.Lucas is handsome and sweet, and popular for a reason.

Lukas (this spelling) and Laurie used to be for favourite names in the world for boys when I was younger. Nowadays I don't hate Lukas but there are many other boys names I love more. And I Laurie too childish to work realistically.Lochlan I think is becoming way too trendy. With all of the variant spellings and people using a "-lyn" ending for a girl... I think it just takes away from the traditional, Scottish name. So sure, Lachlan is fine if you're Scottish, or in Scotland or want to honour a Scottish family member/place. If not, or any other spellings, not a fan!

I dislike Lucas, Lukas and Luke about equally.Lochlan is nasty. Why not use the authentic spelling?Laurie will be assumed to be a nn for Lawrence, and it's not such a wonderful name that being its proud bearer would make up for a lifetime of inconvenience.

Lucas will always, always bring to mind mucus. I like Luca, Luc, and Luke but Lucas has an ick factor.Lochlan is really nice. It might be a bit of an issue that it isn't spelled Lachlan. Having to correct people can be a pain sometimes but generally isn't as bad as people think.Laurie isn't very nice when it's not a nickname or a middle name. But Laurence, nn Laurie? Adore it.

Laurie when not used as a nickname for Laurence/Lawrence, just sounds terrible feminine. People will want to spell it Lori. I do like Lucas and Lochlan, however. I think I prefer the spelling Lachlan, though.

Yeah, I know a female Laurie whose own mother sometimes spells it as Lori. Twas truly an awkward moment when that happened.
