Daphne, Dafne, Dafina, etc
Hey Folks... Opinions on Daphne and it's many variations. I lean towards Dafne simply because it is more familiar to me... but I like them all.
Which would you use?
Would you use it at all?
Any glaring first impressions?
Any comments, rants, anecdotes or even inspirational poems are welcome...

I like names that are spelled in uncommon ways, but I do prefer Daphne. I have always loved the show Scooby Doo, and that is the first thing I think of when I see this name. I don't know if you want to go for that or not.

Daphne is my fave version and I would consider using it. The name is not over used like some other flower names and daphne flowers smell so gorgeous too.

I like Daphne the best of the bunch since it is classic, timeless and reminds me of the ancient Greek myths. I detest the nick name Daffy, and Daphne's story always saddened me, so I probably would never use it. Dafne looks like a misspelling to me although it is doubtlessly considered a legitimate spelling in other areas.

I like Daphne. Dafne looks weird to me, and Dafina just wrong!I love Greek mythology names, and Daphne is very usable so it's a solid one for me.

My youngest niece is a Daphne. Which would you use? I only like Daphne.
Would you use it at all? Not an option for us, obviously.
Any glaring first impressions? I think it's a fun, light, pretty name.
Any comments, rants, anecdotes or even inspirational poems are welcome... A surprising number of people call my niece Velma as a joke and think they're just hilarious. Maybe it's because she's a brunette. I tried to teach her to say "Jinkies!" over Thanksgiving, but I was unsuccessful.

I like Daphne. I'm not big on any of the variations, probably for the same reason you prefer Dafne. I also just like balance the name has spelled this way.

I like Daphne best, just because I know someone named that. It's a pretty name, too bad she doesn't use it, she's always called Mi-Min.(a family nick-name, don't know the origin.)I'd use it. It would go well with our vowel-ridden surname-one reason why my daughter doesn't have a first name ending in "a".

Daphne is easily my favorite. To me, Dafne (though presumably pronounced the same) is leaning further into Daffy territory and its inevitable Disney connotations. Daphne is pretty though, I've thought about using if it I have a daughter as well.

I like Daphne the best. I don't think I would use the name as it is my cousin's partner's name. I think it is a lovely name. It is beautiful and timeless and it is one of those names that I believe should be used more.

I wouldn't use any of them, but if I had to or die, I'd choose Daphne. Dafne doesn't look quite right to me. The name makes me think of a stuck-up, rich, snooty girl with a congested, sinus-y voice with a cheesy Valley Girl accent.

I used to really hate this name. But honestly, it's grown on me. Daphne is what I'm most familiar with so it's the version I'd choose.
I still can't say I'd ever actually consider using it. However it is quite charming and I'd be happy to meet a little girl with the name.
