Re: Calvin - how popular will it get?
This depends on where you are from. In the US, yeah... it's climbing the charts, but not really fast. It's a well known name, but not something that people usually think to use. I have never actually met a Calvin in my life (one of the reasons that I like it). My guess is that it is most popular in the midEastern US (i.e. Michigan) where Calvin college is, and where the Calvinist denomination is a big influence. People there are using it as a religious name. In the rest of the US though - it's just a sweet underused name. I suggest you visit the social security website and search the popularity by your state (if you live in the US). Or... let us know your state and I can check for you.
I would totally recommend still using Calvin though. Great name. ______________________________________________

Thank you for the tip! Calvin is apparently not too widespread in our state (yet). I got a little paranoid when I found out an acquaintance was planning to use it for a middle name.
