I can forgive the usage of James on a girl, if, and only if, it is done for the purposes of honouring and is kept in the middle name spot. James is actually my grandfather's name and I think, if I were to only have daughters, I would consider it as a second or third middle name in order to honour him, only I think he might have found it a little silly. I would be much more tempted by Jamesina or Jamesin, however.
