That's a very good point, maybe I am focusing more on historical usage rather than current usage. Maria would stand out amongst the trendy names and would be comfortable with the classics. Maybe she's really as timeless as I think she is. :)
And thank you, I like to pair classics or more common names with less likely middles. I thought Tamsin, Blythe, and Winter worked well with Maria. It livens her up a bit.
