Hmm, I wonder if they will have a geographical theme? Israel isn't bad. I've heard much worse. I associate Israel as a Jewish surname, so to me it is just like someone non-Scottish naming their daughter MacKenzie. Though I do know this is probably just me being odd.Edited to say: I didn't know there was a Biblical Israel until I clicked on the name in our database. Shows what I know. ;)

Yes, I have heard of the country Israel, too, but as far as it being a name I associate it with a Jewish surname.

People in Scotland don't name their girls Mackenzie. They name boys Mackenzie.
