Baby on the way. How do you like this name: Everest James
Everest being the first name and James being the middle name. I appreciate your input.

I much prefer Evan James or Everet\Everett JamesI'm not crazy on Everest to be honest. Though go for the name YOU like best

What if he's fat?I've seen this name a few times for kids; Denali, McKinley, and other mountain names too. I just foresee it being a shame if the kid ends up being overweight. I hear "She's the size of Mt. Everest!" jokes in my head, and they are not funny. :(

I think Everest is a cool first name! James is not very interesting at all in the way of middle names. Although I actually don't mind the name at all. Everest James is awkward to say though. The transition from the -st to the J is too much of a tongue twister. I wouldn't use that combo.

I prefer Everett James, but overall it isn't a bad combo.

I don't particularly like Everest...it makes me think of the for-profit college.
I'd prefer Everett James.

I first read this as Everett James, which I think would be a lovely combo. However, Everest just makes me think of the mountain, and while that's not necessarily a bad association, it does make the first name Everest seem "larger than life" for a person to bear. Besides, people will probably just end up mistaking it as Everett his whole life, so why not just name him that?Other options could be Everard or Forrest?

I think I'd prefer Everett James. That's quite dashing. Everest... I don't know, unless you have a personal connection to the mountain it seems like it's trying really hard to be "cool." Also, he'd probably get called Everett by mistake a lot anyway.

Agree..Everett James would be better, or maybe Everard James or Emeric James?

I don't enjoy geographical names or lnfns, and Everest will be easily confused with the more frequently-used Everett. I do like James, though!

I really like both names and I even like the combo. Usually I don't like James in the MN spot cos it just screams "filler" and is so over-done. But with something more unusual like Everest, it works =)

I like that it is different and unique. I like that it invokes a beautiful natural wonder and I like the discipline and work ethic of the man who the mountain was named after.

Don't like the first name. I immediately associate it with Mount Everest. Perhaps Everett or Elliot instead?James, however, is a great name.
